Apple Finally Gets With The Program

You know, I was a mac user from 1988 until 1999, that is a good 10 years I gave my hard earned money, time and love to a stinkin' hunk of metal and plastic. But at some point, my addiction to video games and the lust for speed within my programs consumed me.

I turned to the dark side.

I didn't regret it not one iota.

And I still don't, but like lovers torn from each other due to one wanting more out of life, I have to be a little happy that Apple has finally decided to go with Intel and cut friggin' ankle biting IBM loose.

And although people all over the world are freaking out right now with sayings like, "Intel today, Microsoft tomorrow for Apple?", you have to wonder, isn't this going to make the Apple computer a better product for it's consumer?

Won't it just make it more user friendly?

Grow up, people! It's a machine! It is for us to use and abuse whenever we like!

Don't let the nice pastel colors and rounded curves fool you...the Mac is not so innocent. I mean, when that bomb of death appears, can't you just feel the dread? The angst that you MAY NEVER AGAIN HAVE ACCESS???!!!

=

*sigh*

I never liked that feeling, nuh uh...

Anyway, I think this is a really smart move and they still use their own operating system, so I really don't see the problem.

Good luck, Apple, I may actually go back to using you again...seeing as how you can't afford to overcharge anymore with Intel products in your bus.

Love ya!

You're the second blog I've read about this on, and I have NO IDEA what any of it means.

I don't know Apple very well. Plus, I'm dumb!

What it means is that apple computers were mega slow before and now that they have turned to the devil that supplies pc's with their super fast pieces of greatness, that they will be even faster too! Many, many little mac user hearts have died today, but we all know that somewhere inside, they are whooping it up for the thrill of more power!

*pumps fists in air*

lol!

Once you go Mac, you'll never go back. ;P

And they've been fast for years. It's you that has been slow to notice maybe.

Ok...

Either you can't read or you chose to ignore the fact that I used Apple computers for almost 10 years.

Either way, they are not as fast as PC's simply for their operating system and memory hogging, which albeit MS apps do also, but they are way more efficient in the long run.

Don't be jealous because you aren't a dual platformer.

Ouch. Calling me illiterate. Nasty. I used a PC back during the DOS years, I guess. So, maybe I am prejudiced and don't give PCs a fair chance. I just know if one operating system was stolen from another, going with the one stolen from would always seem the better choice. Just like back when Beta battled VHS, the better choice did not get chosen by the masses.

I defer to you on the technical aspects. That's your forté. I can only speak from a user standpoint. And me, I stand and point at the Mac - always.

Does this mean no movies together because of our computer platform spat? ;) What's your view on the Michael Jackson outcome? Go read my MS blog and let me know.

And here's my blog link, to make it easier, since I'm preaching ease of use. LOL
